About this Student

Hi, my name is Fiene. I live in the Netherlands. I live with my parents and my younger brother and sister. We also have a dog for 2 years now.

I look forward to meeting you and experience the American way of life by living with you. I hope to learn more about the American culture through my host family and high school. Although I think the culture differs per state. It will be fun to compare what we do in the Netherlands and how you do it in America. Maybe that will give us both inspiration to do things a little differently sometimes.

I am an active person. I enjoy sports, meeting up with friends and doing fun things with them such as playing games, watch movies, go to a party and having sleepovers now and then or bake stuff like cookies or cake. I also enjoy watching sports such as Formula 1 and soccer with friends or family.

I would like to experience what school is like in America, where everything happens at school. Taste the atmosphere, experience why people are proud of the school they go to. I also look forward to get acquainted with the more creative subjects at high school.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know my ‘new family’, living in America and having a memorable time together. Hope to meet you soon.
