About this Student

My name is Amanda. I look forward to spending my exchange year in the USA. I have wanted to do an exchange year since I heard about it for the first time from my father. I think it is a great opportunity to learn about another country’s culture and traditions, find new friends and contacts, improve my English and grow as a person. I also think that it is a great experience and a once in a lifetime opportunity. I truly look forward to meeting you and I think that I can share a lot about Sweden, while I learn about you and the USA at the same time.

I like to do quite a few things in my spare time. I like music a lot and to play instruments and sing. I have taken piano lessons and I also play a little guitar and ukulele. I have also been singing in a choir since I was seven and I now have solo classes, too. I also like to exercise such as going to the gym, but mostly doing track and field. I am in a local track and field team and I go there around two times a week. I have not specialized in any particular discipline so I do almost all of them at the time. I like sprint and high jump the most though. I have also been a scout for many years. I am a scout because I like the community that you are a part of and I also like to be outdoors. I also like to craft and do things with my hands like crocheting or making a scrapbook.
