Additional Expenses
You should plan to cover the following expenses in addition to the cost of the program:
- Domestic flight to get to the international departure
- Passport and visa fees
- School lunch money (depends on destination)
- School uniforms if required (depends on destinations)
- Public transportation
- Educational/recreational trips
- Pocket money ($300 to $400/month recommended)
Cancelation Policy
Pre-application fee of $250 is non-refundable. Final payment is due on June 1st. Cancelation before July 1st will incur a $1,000 cancelation fee plus any airline or partner cancelation fees imposed. Cancelation fee after July 1st and before departure date will incur $2,000 fee plus any airline costs and partner cancelation fees. No refunds are available after student embarks on their exchange semester or year.

STS Foundation is proud to offer discretionary need-based scholarship opportunities to certain students based on academics and financials. Please contact info@stsfoundation.org to receive more information on how you can apply to be considered for a scholarship.
Host & Go Discount
You can receive a 10% discount on your high school exchange program fee if your family hosts an exchange student the same year you are going abroad or has hosted with STS Foundation in the 2 years prior to your departure. Enter discount code HOST&GO when filling out your pre-application to be considered for this discount.
