“We found out about STS Foundation through a post in a group on Facebook. A friend from our church actually tagged us in the post, because one of Tanit's interests was horseback riding, and we live on a farm with three horses.

After talking with our Local Coordinator, Christy, and praying about the opportunity to become a host family, we decided to do it. The moment I read about Tanit, I knew right then that she was the perfect match for our family. Her love for horses, quality time with family, and interest in learning truly caught my eye! We matched early and were able to Zoom chat once a week until she arrived here just before school started.

From the moment Tanit arrived, she has been such a blessing to us. She is a great big sister to our 8-year-old daughter. They play card games from Spain that Tanit brought almost every night, play in the pool together and spend time at the barn. Tanit has been a wonderful addition to our kitchen as well. She loves to help cook dinner and even bought us a Catalan cooking book so that we can make dishes together from her country!

School here has been different for her, but she loves it and has already made many friends in just a short period of time.

We truly feel so blessed to have this opportunity to have Tanit here with us for the school year.”

Add new card games and recipes to your life, take the leap and sign up to host an exchange student today!
